The Israeli standard is a document that contains the guidelines Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in additions and national changes.
Compliance with standards:
All pages on this site are written in proper HTML5 code. Writing the right code ensures proper work of assistive technologies used by people with disabilities (such as screen readers for the use of the blind).
All interactive elements have been adapted to the standard Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA) 1.2.
The site is designed in contrasting colors that allow optimal use for the visually impaired and color-blind. (For those interested: a tool for testing contrast) webaim contrast checker)
The content on the site is Semantic. Contains Landmarks such as: header, main, aside, footer, nav, contains headings, info tables, lists, paragraphs, standard links, form controls and image descriptions if they are meaningful.
The forms on the website are accessible to screen readers and keyboard users.
All icons have a textual alternative.
Display:
You can resize the texts on the site by using the CTRL + or CMD + keyboard on Macs or by using the browser menu.
Increasing the text by 200% (and even more) will display the website perfectly fine
The website is responsive and adapted for viewing on mobile devices (starting from a screen with a width of 320 pixels)
The website will work great in all major browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox Safari, Edge, Opera, both PC and Mobile.
The fonts on the site are sans serifs they do not contain edges that interfere with the reading sequence.
If you want to make other changes to the size of the texts and colors on the website, you can do so through the browser or extensions in the various browser extension stores.
How to browse the website using a keyboard:
At the top of the page there is a hidden link which skips the navigation menu and shifts the focus immediately to the main content.
Pressing the Tab key repeatedly will take you through the various links on the page. Pressing Enter will activate the link. Note that pressing Tab will take you to the next link and pressing Shift + Tab will take you back to the previous link.
